In her fine art works, Mallory addresses feelings of uncertainty, loneliness, comfort and release. Her photographs tell stories of accepting the unknown: that which is on the other side of the surface and beyond the frame. She strives to create an image that transports the viewer into a dream and evokes a visceral, primal reaction. In this world she creates, no rules apply. Like a painter, Morrison can decide what belongs in her world and what is possible. Because she is shooting in an anti-gravity environment, she can manipulate perspective and challenge the viewer’s sense of reality.
