Gus Harper is an L.A. born and raised representational artist who maintains a studio in Culver City. His work is full of symbolism and is highly narrative. He got his start with his first body of work, “Signs Of A Benevolent Universe”, which is a celebration of the beauty in everyday objects. Since then he has developed several other bodies of work including “Guardians” and “Searching For Heroes” which is a reflection on the artist’s search for inspiration. His latest theme, “Minor Identity Crisis”, focuses on the theme of overcoming fear. Harper has displayed his work across the country for 15 years and has upcoming shows in Los Angeles, Mexico City, San Francisco, and Acapulco.
