In the artist’s own words: “Many people come to Los Angeles in quest for a paradise and a new life. In this new city, dream and reality often create intriguing juxtapositions with contradictions, and generate a peculiar air of excitement. During LA spring, the morning mist diffuses the light and the sky naturally turns into a blank canvas. During these eerie light conditions the moment as well as the subject become isolated. The sounds of the streets and freeways are muffled, and the only noise is the rumble and squeak of the roller coasters.”
