Alain-Paul Sevilla was born a French citizen in St. Cloud, Algeria 1943 and attended Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. In 1976 he relocated to Los Angeles where he was mentored by famed art doyenne Marcia Weisman. His very first gallery show was held in a world class venue: The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, in 1990. Sevilla’s work resides in many prominent collections, including the famed bequest Marcia Weisman made to MOCA upon her death.
