Kaoru Mansour (paintings)
Kaoru Mansour is a native of Japan working as a painter in Los Angeles. She moved to California in 1986 and studied at Otis Parsons Art Institute in Los Angeles from 1987-1989. Her work, a collaboration with the world famous soprano, Kiri Te Kanawa, depicting the singer’s voice, was shown at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Over the past nine years, Kaoru has been working for numerous art consultants and galleries in California and other states. Her works have been purchased for various commercial buildings, tv shows, movies, record covers and private collectors. Currently she maintains her studio and residence in Tujunga, CA.
In the artist’s own words: “Most of my ideas come from everyday life. My favorite process in my artwork is when I draw the lines and shapes over the collage images. It always brings back my playful, childlike thoughts. My primary medium is collage, acrylic on canvas and wooden board.”
